Here's the latest report from Chris Larson of Duluthsportfishing.com:

"The seasons are changing and so are activities, but don't forget about going after big lakers. Lake trout move into the Duluth area in September to spawn on shallow reefs & shoals. The recent East winds pushed the warmer water into Duluth and the fish moved down to about 80 FOW, where water temps are near 45 degrees. We have been boating bigger lake trout and an occasional king salmon with a spoon or flasher/fly combo. Don't miss your chance. There are still a few weeks left in the season to get out there & give it a try. Pictured is a beautiful lake trout landed by charter customer David this past Friday."
