Here's the latest Leech Lake report from our friends at Leisure Outdoor Adventures:

"The bite continues to improve throughout parts of Leech Lake. And as we move farther into fall, it should continue to get better as water temps begin to drop. Main Lake - The walleye bite is still best in the early morning and evening hours, slip bobber fishing on the edges or tops of the reefs such a Annex, Sub, Mokey, etc. You can also work the deeper humps on parts of the SE end of the lake with lindy rigs or vertical jigging with jigging raps. During the daylight hours, trolling crankbaits with leadcore or long lining them is still producing fish, with overall mixed results depending on the day.Walker Bay- The best bite is still in 18-30 feet of water working lindy rigs with crawlers or chubs. Also, there has been some success vertical jigging with a 1/2oz to 3/8oz jig with a golden shiner or rainbow, if you can find them. Work the humps and shoreline breaks and continue to use your electronics searching for pods of fish before you start fishing. The Musky bite is still good with a lot of fishing being seen. As muskies continue to get pressured think about down sizing your bucktail to something like a Big Tooth Mini Juice to increase your chances. Top waters and bucktails are still the best bet and taking advantage of peak feeding windows. The full moon bite this past week was very good.Until next week!Jason Freed Leisure Outdoor Adventures"
